Dr. Sven Muehlenbrock

Sven is an independent non-executive director, venture capital investor and a former risk & regulatory consulting leader, center of excellence for data-driven technology leader and advisory partner at a big four firm. During his partner time, he also developed risk and compliance technology solutions for the investment fund industry. He is a senior advisor with more than 26 years of international leadership experience across business strategy, accounting, corporate finance, risk management, and digital transformation. His career combines deep technical expertise with strategic business leadership, gained through senior executive and partner roles in advisory and investment environments.
Sven has led large multidisciplinary consulting practices of over 120 people advising boards and C-level management on governance, regulatory strategy, digitalization, finance & accounting matters, risk frameworks, valuation and performance management. He has extensive experience working with regulated financial institutions—including banks, insurance companies and alternative investment managers—supporting them through complex transformations, licensing, quantitative modelling and regulatory remediations.
Alongside his advisory career, Sven is an active investor and entrepreneur, serving as co-owner and board member of companies in various industries incl. the business aviation sector. His background blends analytical rigor with operational and strategic leadership. He holds a PhD in Finance & Accounting, M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and M.Sc./ B.Sc. equivalent diploma degrees in Business Economics and International Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in WA/ USA, a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and a Commercial Pilot.
Sven brings to the board a combination of strategic insight, financial and risk expertise and risk-aware decision-making to support sustainable growth and long-term stakeholder value.
